Always select the correct disc type for the material: Diamond-tipped blades for concrete, bricks, and masonry. Abrasive discs for cutting metals. Check that the disc’s speed rating matches or exceeds the cutter’s RPM and that it’s free from cracks or damage before use.
Use water suppression (connected hose or water tank) or on-tool extraction whenever possible. If dry cutting is unavoidable, wear a FFP3-rated dust mask and limit cutting duration to reduce exposure to silica dust, which is hazardous to health.
