Scaffolding must be inspected by a competent person before first use, every 7 days, and after any alteration, damage, or severe weather. Inspection results should be recorded in the site scaffold register.

Stop work immediately, evacuate the scaffold, and report the defect to the Site Supervisor or Manager. Do not use or attempt to repair scaffolding unless you are a qualified scaffolder.
